What

A good seminar should be entertaining as well as informative.

We have followed that belief in preparing the programme for this year. There is as much legal content as always, but it is gift-wrapped.

At the heart of the day is an update on claims under the Inheritance Act 1975. Ted Stayton, the elderly testator, has disinherited his wife Victoria, their adult child, his mistress and their minor child, in favour of a charity. All four of them claim against his estate. Advocates for the five claimants/beneficiaries (James Aspden, Fiona Campbell-White, Charlotte Watts and two guest Barristers) plead their case, and you get to vote on the outcome.

Other presentations will include Wilsons' Debbie Ashenhurst (former in-house lawyer at The Guardian) on reputation management; the always-popular update on the property market by Andrew Tompson of Berrys; a case study/Q and A led by Peter Jeffreys; not to mention the quickfire review of recent cases by Fiona Campbell-White.

It'll be educational. It'll be enjoyable. It'll be full of useful, practical content. Do come! We would love to see you there.
